Jean Lafitte national historical park & preserve - Kayak Rentals

Kayak Rentals and Canoe Rentals available at our launch located approximately 30 minutes South of New Orleans right on the outside of the entrance to the Barataria Preserve, a large estuary in the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park.   This is a beautiful self-guided sightseeing tour launching from our site along Bayou Barataria, home to the local fishing communities of Lafitte, Barataria and Crown Point, LA.   A short paddle along this bayou will bring you to the entrance of the National Park along Bayou Segnette, which spans thru the National Park all the way to Bayou Segnette State Park.   We recommend taking a turn into the heart of the National Park along Kenta Canal, a serene and quiet bayou estuary where you can enjoy the paddle at your leisure and observe the local wildlife in their natural habitat.   Sightseeing tours like this one are for those that want to get up close and personal with nature .
